POLICIES, TERMS & CONDITIONS
BOOKING
Advance ordering is always welcome. We kindly request that you book your greeting at least 7 to 10 DAYS IN ADVANCE to allow us to schedule appropriately and to be able to design and create your perfect greeting. We highly recommend advance ordering if you know your desired date, especially during popular times of the year such as graduation and Mother’s Day.
If we have the availability and the inventory we can do last minute (less than 48 hours notice) orders. We do charge an additional $35 non-refundable fee for this service. Please understand that it takes us many hours to design, create and put together your unique, one of a kind sign. For this reason, we unfortunately, do not take same day orders.
PAYMENT
PAYMENT IS DUE WHEN INVOICED and must clear before delivery. Your order WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED BOOKED until payment is received. Payments include delivery, set up and take down of your yard display. Please refer to our FAQ page for pricing.
CANCELLATIONS
If for any reason you need to cancel your order, please do so as far in advance as possible. Cancellations made within 72 hours of your booking may choose to receive a 50% refund of your rental amount OR the full rental amount may be credited towards a future rental (based on availability). Cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled delivery will not be subject to a refund or credit. Note, we are unable to refund payments should we be asked to leave by the recipient/homeowner, given the wrong address, restricted from setting up within a gated community, animals preventing the display from being set up, circumstances beyond our control that prevent us from setting up the display at the desired location or prevented from entering the yard due to unsafe conditions.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
We will do our very best to set up in all weather conditions. However, if it is unsafe to set up due to strong winds, heavy storms, lightning, or emergency conditions, we will contact you to discuss set up options. If weather prevents us from being able to set up, a full refund will be given. If weather prevents normal pick up time, we will pick up the following day when conditions are safe.
YARD PREPARATION
You should ensure the space where the signs will be placed is clear and free of debris. Also it is best if the yard has been watered as the ground can be hard making it difficult to install the signs. Soft ground helps us to setup with minimal damage to your grass. If you do not have a sprinkler system, the please use a water hose to soak the area.
If you have a lawn service, please arrange for them to come before or after the display set up time. Mowing, trimming and watering around the display can damage the signs. Please turn off any automatic sprinklers for the duration of the display. Our signs are waterproof, but the pressure from the sprinkler system can damage them. You will be invoiced for any damage to the signs.
PETS
All pets need to be behind a fence or in the house during set up and removal times. Please pick up any animal waste in the display area. If ordering an installation for a home that is not your own, please remember to notify the homeowner that they will be receiving the greeting within 24 hours so that they can make the proper arrangements.
HOMEOWNERS
At least one adult in the home MUST be notified about the rental and the set up of the signs in order to ensure the safety of the individual installing the display. If you are ordering signs to be set up at someone else’s home, at least one adult MUST know that we are coming and be aware of our Rental Terms and Conditions. We do our best to make this the easiest gift you’ll ever give someone. Leaving the porch light on is appreciated, but not required. If the greeting is a surprise, we recommend closing the curtains/blinds in the house so we don’t get caught.
HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATIONS
YOU are responsible for obtaining approval from any Homeowners Associations, Community Housing Management, or Public Space BEFORE installation occurs.
DAMAGE
Please DO NOT move or alter the sign display in any way! Please DO NOT allow pets or anyone to play on or around the greeting. Our signs will not safely support the weight of a small child or adult leaning, sitting, or playing on them. Please DO NOT attach anything to our signs (including string, streamers, balloons, etc.) as this will cause damage. You are responsible for all damages.
Any damage, deconstruction or tampering with the display is prohibited. The customer is responsible and will be invoiced for the replacement value of any missing and/or damaged part of the display at full replacement value.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND SIGNAGE
We reserve the right to photograph our signs and displays and use them for marketing and other purposes. Home addresses/exact location will not be shared and any photos containing house numbers or car licence plates will be blurred. You understand that a sign containing Niagara Yard Displays' information will be installed in the yard in an area outside of the frame of the photo and must remain up for the duration of the rental.
We encourage you to pose next to the greeting to take photographs of your celebration. However, please DO NOT pull the signs from the ground, play near the display, or erect bounce houses, slides, waterslides, or any other entertainment activity near the sign display.
If you do, Niagara Yard Displays and all representatives are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage that may be caused to any person or personal property. Any damage to our signage and stands will be invoiced to you.
GREETING POLICY
Niagara Yard Displays reserves the right to politely and respectfully decline orders that are political, controversial, disrespectful or that do not fit the celebratory nature of our business.
Niagara Yard Displays and all representatives are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage that may be caused to any person or personal property including property damage during the set up, placement or removal of any rental displays.
By booking and paying for a Niagara Yard Displays lawn display, you acknowledge that
you have read and agree to the above Policies, Terms and Conditions.
